Dr. Dean Glass was born and raised in Cleveland only a few miles from NASA Glenn Research Center. He received his BS in Chemistry from Baldwin-Wallace University in 2009. After that he worked as a QC Chemist for GOJO (the Purell company) and as a Paint Chemist for PPG (both in the greater Cleveland area). He started his graduate research at USC in the Prakash lab in inorganic electrochemistry where he worked on catalysts for various types of fuel cells. He came to JPL as a Postdoc in 2018 in the HOTTech Project working with high temperature batteries for the Venus/Mercury landers.
