The JPL Electrochemical Research, Technology, & Engineering Group maintains end-to-end capabilities for developing new battery materials (cathodes, anodes and electrolytes), incorporating them into prototype cells, and testing them over a wide range of conditions. In addition to cell and battery level testing, our group maintains a full range of analytical capabilities for conducting fundamental electrochemical measurements, including potentiostats/galvanostats, rotating disk electrodes and impedance analyzers. Our group also maintains extensive facilities for the development and evaluation of fuel cell materials and systems, and chemical sensors.
